Julliet Coxum has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Building Principal at Poughkeepsie City School District since August 2013, after previously holding the position of Assistant Principal. Prior to this role, Julliet was the High School Principal for Academic Summer School at Ulster BOCES from April 2013 to August 2018. Julliet's career includes significant contributions as Senior Trainer and Policy Coordinator at the Ulster County BOCES-New York State Center for School Safety from October 2005 to June 2012, focusing on health and safety training and support for youth development programs. Earlier positions include Assistant Director of Residence Life at SUNY New Paltz, overseeing operations for multiple residence halls. Julliet holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from SUNY New Paltz, a Master’s in Health Education from SUNY Cortland, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Psychology, and Black Studies from SUNY New Paltz.

PCSD is organized into one high school, one middle school, and five elementary schools. Under the District’s Strategic Plan each school has been designated as a Community School.
