David Guzman has extensive experience in education and leadership, currently serving as an Assistant Principal and Engineering Teacher on Special Assignment at Poway Unified School District since September 2016. Prior to this role, David was the JROTC Program Manager at San Diego Unified School District from September 2009 to August 2016 and served in the US Army as an Engineer Officer from July 1985 to April 2008. Additionally, David held the position of ROTC Department Chair at San Diego State University between 2000 and 2005. Academically, David holds a Master's degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia University, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from National University, a Master's degree in Business Management from Webster University, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University. David's foundational education includes a high school diploma in Engineering Design from Fox Tech.
