Katie Newbanks is an experienced educator specializing in drama and critical thinking. Currently serving as a Drama Teacher and Director at Poway Unified School District since February 2014, Katie has developed a comprehensive theatre curriculum for middle school students and has directed multiple productions. Additionally, Katie teaches as an Adjunct Instructor at both the University of Phoenix and Ashford University, focusing on critical thinking and English Composition, respectively, in online formats. Previous roles include a Registrar Assistant and Matriculation Coordinator at Ashford University, where responsibilities included handling transcripts and preparing students for graduation, as well as serving as a Teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School, where Katie developed drama and speech programs and organized various competitions and workshops.
