Taufik Taufik is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Director of the Electric Power Institute at Cal Poly State University since September 1999. Taufik has served as the Chair of the IEEE Power & Energy Society Chapter of Central Coast Section since January 2020. Taufik's consultancy experience includes roles at NV5, San Diego Gas & Electric, and Sempra Energy, focusing on engineering studies, curriculum development for electrical design training, and root cause analysis for inverters. Taufik has contributed as a Summer Faculty Fellow at San Diego Gas & Electric multiple times and has worked at Enerpro, Inc. and Diodes Inc. Taufik holds a Doctor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northern Arizona University. Taufik was also the valedictorian at SMA Negeri 13 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
