Power Line Systems
Otto Lynch has extensive experience in the power line systems industry. Otto began their career at Black & Veatch, where they held various positions in transmission line and substation engineering from December 1988 to June 2000. In June 2000, Lynch joined Power Line Systems as the President & CEO, a role they held for over 20 years. In February 2022, they transitioned to Bentley Systems as the Vice President and Head of Power Line Systems.
Otto Lynch completed their high school education at Bolivar High School from 1980 to 1984. Following high school, they attended Southwest Baptist University from 1984 to 1986, where they pursued pre-engineering. Otto then transferred to Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from 1986 to 1988.

Power Line Systems was founded in 1984 to provide consulting services and develop engineering software for the structural and geometric design of electric power lines. Since then Power Line Systems has become the world-wide leader in software for transmission lines. They supply software to over 1600 organizations in more than 125 countries. Theircustomers include the full spectrum from the smallest consulting organizations, fabricators and municipal utilities to over half of the hundred largest generating utilities in the U.S. and large international leaders like BC Hydro, Hydro Quebec, National Grid, Cemig, Power Link Queensland, Eskom, Comision Federal de Electricidad and Electricité de France.
