Adam Smith

Adam Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Adam began their career as a helper and plumbing mechanic at Victory Mechanical HVAC & Plumbing, where they installed central air conditioning and forced hot air systems. Adam also gained knowledge in braising, sweating, evacuating, pumping down, and charging air-conditioning systems.

Adam then moved on to work as a union plumbing apprentice at All Systems & ASA Union Plumber, where they installed and serviced various types of plumbing in commercial and residential structures. Adam also operated equipment such as skid steer and backhoe for trenching and excavation.

Following this, Adam joined Rallye Motors | Mercedes-Benz as a maintenance technician, responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC systems, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks. Adam also oversaw the maintenance of equipment and grounds for multiple dealerships and mechanic shops.

Afterward, Adam worked as a plumber at Pipemasters Plumbing, handling the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures in commercial and residential settings. Adam also performed rough plumbing for waste, vent, and water supplies and dealt with gas piping.

Adam then transitioned to NYU Langone Medical Center, where they held two roles. First, as a tenant coordinator for clinical offsite real estate, they were responsible for maintenance, repairs, and tenant services for buildings totaling 125,000 square feet of clinical space in the off-site real estate portfolio. Second, as a tenant coordinator for research space, they managed the maintenance, repairs, and tenant services for over 200,000 square feet of research space. Adam also attended construction and project meetings in both roles.

Following this, Adam worked as a project manager at ProSource Consulting, LLC, where they provided tactical and strategic leadership to the VA staff and developed annual work plans in accordance with performance work statements.

Currently, Adam is working as a project manager at Power Resources International, where they manage projects with various organizations, including LIRR, MTA, NYCT, and Port Authority. Adam is responsible for project management from kickoff to completion, handling financials, scheduling, and day-to-day activities. Power Resources International specializes in electrical engineering, communications engineering, and testing.

Adam Smith completed high school at Plainedge High School, earning a High School Diploma.

In 2016, they enrolled at NYU School of Professional Studies and obtained a Certificate in Real Estate. As part of their education, they completed the Commercial Property Management Gold Standard Course, which was offered by NYU School of Professional Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Adam has also obtained several certifications. In 2010, they completed the Introduction to Fire Officer course at Nassau County Fire Service Academy. Adam has also completed additional training in Collapse Rescue Systems, Interior and Exterior Shoring, as well as Ropes I and Ropes II at Nassau County Fire Service Academy.
