Richard Berkling

Chief Executive Officer at PowerCell Sweden

Richard Berkling has held various positions in the business world since 1997. Richard began their career as a Manager for multiple units within First Hotels, where they worked with change management and turn-around projects. In 2000, they became the CFO of NIRA Systems AB. In 2002, they were appointed President of CPAC Systems AB, a Volvo Group subsidiary dedicated to safety-critical electronics. In 2010, they became a Board Member of Effpower AB, a start-up focused on developing and manufacturing customized battery solutions. In 2016, they joined Humphree AB as a Board Member, and in 2018 they became a Board Member of IFK Goteborg. In 2019, they became a Member of Styrelsepoolen and a Board Member of Halon. Most recently, in 2021, they joined PowerCell Sweden AB as Chief Executive Officer. In this role, they are working towards Zero Emissions and is excited to play a significant role in the transition towards a Zero Emission society.

Richard Berkling attended the University of Gothenburg from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained an Msc in Business Administration. Richard then attended the Stockholm School of Economics from 2004 to 2005, obtaining an IFL in Executive Management Program. Richard also attended Styrelseakademin from 2004 to 2010, but did not obtain a degree.
