Andy Rivera has over 20 years of experience in the software development industry. Andy began their career in 1998 as a Senior Programmer at Manheim, where they developed modules for their Tracker, including interfaces to Crystal Reports, Peachtree Accounting, and loan processing online applications. In 2001, they moved to Tempus Software as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed applications using MS SQL Server 2000, Oracle 8i, Delphi, text-to-speech (TTS), and PL-SQL. Andy also developed a multi-threaded Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) for 116 phones lines with voice recognition and text-to-speech functionality in three months. Additionally, they developed an ICD-9 approval interface as a web service allowing hospitals to verify coverage of specific procedures with the latest data from the insurance company, as well as a Systems Integration engine using HL7 for data exchange.
In 2002, Andy took on the role of Senior Programmer at DaVita, and in 2004 they became Co-Founder and Vice President of Software Development at 3cStudios Inc. Andy then moved to Insurance Office of America in 2005 as Director of Software Development, where they were responsible for evaluating proposed projects and their impact on the organization’s strategic objectives, as well as mentoring software developers, writing code, and performing code reviews. In 2008, they became a Software Development Consultant at Foreman Financial, and in 2009 they became a Custom iPhone App Developer at Various Companies.
Finally, in 2012, Andy joined PowerDetails as President. At PowerDetails, they are responsible for all of the firm’s marketing and sales functions, as well as the day-to-day operations. PowerDetails is an industry-leading SaaS platform that completely manages Off/Extra-Duty details and Secondary Employment, and works with agencies that include Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, EMS, Healthcare, and Aviation.
Andy Rivera earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico in 1997. Andy then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Technology Management from University of Phoenix, which they completed in 2005.
