Project Engineer II at PowerFlex

Mariyamo Fofana, EIT, began their work experience as an Engineering Intern at PowerFlex in September 2021. Mariyamo then transitioned to the role of Junior Project Engineer in March 2022, where they are currently employed. Prior to their time at PowerFlex, Mariyamo worked as a Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from May 2019 to August 2019. During their time at the university, they participated in the Ocean and Coastal Research Experience for Undergraduates (OCEANUS) program, funded by the National Science Foundation. Their research focused on assessing business survivability and strategies in preparation for an upcoming economic recession. Mariyamo's faculty mentor during this time was Dr. Mazen H. Brho.

Mariyamo Fofana, EIT completed their education in Civil Engineering at New York University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Mariyamo attended New York University from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, they pursued further certifications including being a Procore Certified Engineer (obtained in October 2021) and obtaining Engineer In Training (EIT) certification from NCEES in July 2021. Mariyamo Fofana also acquired Procore Certified: Project Manager at GC (Financial Management) certification from Procore Technologies in March 2023.
