Zach Luzinas

Senior Consultant at PowerGEM

Zachary Luzinas is a Senior Consultant at PowerGEM. His primary area of expertise is in power systems transmission planning studies, with emphasis on steady state, transient stability and short circuit analysis. Prior to joining PowerGEM, Mr. Luzinas was with the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) for five years, where he was a member of the Interconnection Projects group and performed and coordinated a large number of interconnection studies. His experience includes studies of power flow and system stability, short circuit, deliverability analysis, harmonic analysis, and power quality. Mr. Luzinas is proficient in several power systems analysis software tools, such as TARA, PSS/E, TSAT, PSAT, ASPEN, PowerWorld, and PSLF. Mr. Luzinas has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
