David Johnston

David Johnston has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. David started their career at Hewlett-Packard, where they provided administrative and technical support for HP's Learning Management System (LMS). David also participated in the testing and gathering of requirements for a new LMS.

In 2015, David joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they initially provided support and testing for the Stellar/Learning Modules course management system. David later took on additional responsibilities, including developing a UI testing plan for projects in the UX/UI pipeline and training lower-tier support staff. David also worked on building an automated test framework using Selenium and Python.

David then worked as an Automation Engineer at LiveData, Inc., and was responsible for automation testing.

In 2018, they joined DataRobot as a Quality Competency Lead, specializing in DataRobot Predictions. David held this role until 2022.

Most recently, David joined Powerhouse Dynamics as a Software Engineer in 2023.

David Johnston has a varied education history. In 1998, they started their education at Arkansas State University-Beebe, where they pursued a Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies associate's degree, which they completed in 2001. After a gap in their education, David attended General Assembly in 2016, specializing in Front End Web Development.
