Kat Kisby

Kat Kisby is an experienced professional in the field of research and development, currently serving as the Head of Research and Development at Powerhouse Energy Group PLC since January 2024. In this role, Kat is focused on converting non-recyclable waste streams into energy through the Powerhouse DMG process. Previously, Kat worked at Deregallera for nearly eight years, advancing from Materials Technician to Senior Battery Scientist, where key projects included developing sustainable hard carbon anode materials for sodium and lithium-ion batteries. Kat also contributed to materials research for energy storage at Cardiff University as a Research Scientist, and gained early experience in R&D and educational support through positions at Vectura and Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School. Kat holds an MChem with honors in Electrochemistry from Cardiff University, completed in 2012.
