Robert P. McGee has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Robert began their career as a Warehouse Manager at Oakland Building Materials, where they were responsible for storing, shipping, and ordering building materials. Robert then joined Michigan Waste Energy as a Power Plant Operator, operating and maintaining auxiliary systems to superheated steam boilers and running generator turbines.

In 1998, McGee became a Facility Manager at Detroit Public Schools, overseeing a 400,000 sq. ft. dual education facility and implementing guidelines for security, cleaning, air quality, boilers, and chillers. Robert continued in this role until 2014 when they transitioned to U.S. Metro as a Facilities Manager. At U.S. Metro, they managed facility operations and supervised non-educational staff across various departments, maintaining over 100,000 sq. ft. of property.

Since 2015, McGee has been an Engineer/Boiler Operator at Stellantis FCA, where they assist in maintaining heating systems for over 500,000 sq. ft. of space across two facilities. Their work supports the world-class logistics and supply arm of the company.

Robert P. McGee's education history includes various certifications and degrees obtained over the years. In 1976, they attended I.U.O.E. 547 and earned a license as a High Pressure Operator in Stationary Engineering. Two years later, in 1978, they completed 32 credit hours at the University of Detroit Mercy, majoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

In 1995-1996, Robert attended I.U.O.E. 547 again and obtained a license as a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer, focusing on Stationary Engineering. In 1996, they attended Carreer Works INC. and became a licensed 3rd Class Refrigeration Operator, specializing in Air Conditioning, Ventilation, and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology (HVAC, HVACR).

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, Robert pursued several certificates of achievement from American Resource Training System, INC. Robert obtained certificates in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Engineering Technology/Technician (1998-1999), Commercial and Residential Pipe Fitting (1997-1998), Basic Locksmithing (2000-2001), and Facility and Ground Management (2003-2004).

In 2006, Robert completed a certificate of achievement in Commercial and Residential Wiring from American Resource Training System, INC. Additionally, they obtained a nationally certified operator status in Pool & Spa Technology (Pool Operation/Management) from NSPA in the same year.

Finally, in 2011, Robert acquired a Certificate of Achievement in Conflict Resolution from American Resource Training System, INC. and a Universal Certification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ESCO Institute in 2013.
