Andrew Thompson

Andrew Thompson is an experienced environmental and sustainability professional currently serving as the Environment and Sustainability Manager for Major Projects at Powerlink Queensland since March 2024. Previously, Andrew held the position of Principal Environmental Advisor at RPMGlobal starting in October 2022 and held various roles at RPS from April 2021 to October 2022 as both Project Director and Senior Project Manager. Prior to RPS, Andrew served as Principal Environmental Consultant at Greencap, Technical Manager at BMI Group, and Environmental Business Development Manager at Vital Chemical Pty Ltd. Andrew’s background also includes a significant tenure at Arrow Energy, where responsibilities encompassed providing expert environmental advice and leading compliance programs. Andrew holds both Honours and Bachelor's degrees in Geology from the University of Tasmania. Additionally, Andrew contributed as Secretary for the Southern Queensland Land Rehabilitation Group, promoting best practices in land rehabilitation.
