Dean Smit

Dean Smit is an experienced professional in project management and infrastructure delivery, currently serving as General Manager of Major Projects Delivery at Powerlink Queensland since November 2017. Previously held roles include Acting General Manager at ElectraNet Pty Ltd, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing Transmission Lines Engineering and Project Management for the Electricity Transmission Networks in South Australia. Dean also managed major projects at SA Power Networks, focusing on unregulated construction projects valued between $1 and $100 million. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, with a background in construction and project delivery. Dean holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Project Management from the Australian Institute of Project Management, UNISA, and AIM.
