Vikas Sharma

Vikas Sharma is an accomplished electrical engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and design within the power and utilities sector. Currently serving as Team Leader for Electrical Works Design and Primary Systems at Powerlink Queensland since October 2022, Vikas has held various leadership roles including Senior Design Manager for Substations and Design Manager. Previous experience includes positions at ElectraNet Pty Ltd as Design Manager, and PowerNet Limited as Projects Lead for Substations and Lines, overseeing significant projects from conception to completion. Vikas's engineering capabilities were further honed at renowned firms such as ABB, Siemens, GE Power, and TATA Power, where major substations and switchyards were designed and implemented. Vikas holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Kurukshetra University, a certification as an Automation Engineer, and is recognized as a Chartered Professional Engineer by Engineers Australia, currently pursuing a Master's in International Project Management.
