Akshay Dahiya

Akshay Dahiya has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Akshay has worked as a Protocol Engineer and DeFi Researcher at PowerLoom Protocol since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Blockchain Developer, where they successfully deployed smart contracts and designed ERC tokens for multiple projects on various blockchain platforms.

Akshay also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Hypersonix Inc., where they played a key role in architecting and optimizing API performance and enhancing authentication infrastructure. Additionally, they worked on a Master's Project at Georgia Institute of Technology, developing an innovative tool for detecting plagiarism in take-home exams.

Earlier in their career, Akshay worked as a Graduate Programmer at Fidelity International, where they developed real-time feedback applications and collaborated with the behavioral finance team in designing user-centric tools. Akshay also founded Typingeek, a typing education platform, where they oversaw all aspects of the project.

Furthermore, Akshay participated in the Google Summer of Code program as a participant for the Python Software Foundation. During this time, they developed a Flask-based web framework called Hydrus and created a popular demo showcasing the capabilities of the semantic web.

Akshay Dahiya's education history begins in 2014 when they enrolled at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science & Technology. Akshay pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, completing their studies in 2018.

Afterwards, in 2019, Akshay enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science. Akshay completed this program in 2021.

Throughout their education, Akshay also obtained various certifications. In 2016, they completed the Full Stack Web Developer Nanodegree program offered by Udacity. In 2017, they obtained a React Nanodegree, specializing in Web Development. In 2020, they completed two additional nanodegree programs: Computer Vision Nanodegree, focusing on Computer Vision and Deep Learning, and Deep Learning Nanodegree, focusing on Deep Learning.

Aside from their academic pursuits, Akshay also obtained a certification in Group 2 Social/Behavioral Research Investigators and Key Personnel from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY, in November 2020.
