Danielle Burns

Danielle Burns has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Danielle most recently worked at PowerMarket as the Director of Business Operations, where they oversaw a team responsible for managing over 175 community solar projects. Their role involved developing and implementing operational improvements, as well as interacting with invest-owned utilities regarding data and subscriber issues.

Prior to PowerMarket, Danielle worked at Natural Power as a Senior Project Manager. Here, they supported various due diligence and Independent Engineering projects on solar and energy storage projects worldwide. Danielle provided services to renewable energy system owners, financiers, and offtakers, specializing in renewable energy contract review and negotiation.

Before Natural Power, Danielle worked at The Cadmus Group as a Senior Associate - Distributed Energy. In this role, they provided energy and environmental consulting services to state and local governments and private-sector clients. Danielle also offered solar procurement technical assistance services and supported clients in conveying the benefits and risks of solar PV projects at stakeholder meetings.

Danielle's earlier work experience includes a role as an Environmental Claims Examiner at Sedgwick. Here, they analyzed claims and determined their eligibility according to state regulations and agency policies, corresponded with claimants and consultants, and interpreted reports for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

Danielle Burns pursued their education by completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Analysis & Policy from Boston University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Danielle furthered their academic journey by earning a Master of Arts degree in Economic and Social Development of Regions from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, attending from 2011 to 2015.
