Gunter Beelen

Gunter Beelen has over 20 years of work experience in the field of planar lightwave circuits and integrated optical chips for fiber-optic networks. Gunter started their career in 1998 at BBV / C2V / Alcatel optronics as a Design Engineer, where they worked until 2003. From 2004 to 2005, they served as a Research and Methods Engineer at ICOS Vision Systems. Gunter then joined Gemfire in 2005 as a Senior Design Engineer, specializing in planar lightwave circuits. Gunter worked at Gemfire until 2013, when they moved to Kaiam as a Senior Design Engineer for planar lightwave circuits. At Kaiam, Gunter was responsible for designing and developing integrated optical chips, as well as continuous improvement of existing products. In 2015, Gunter joined PowerPhotonic as a Senior Product Development Engineer, and in 2019, they became a Principal Design Engineer at Broadex Technologies UK ltd. Gunter has strong expertise in product development, test development, and data analysis in the field of integrated optical chips for fiber-optic networks.

Gunter Beelen obtained their Master's degree in Physics from KU Leuven, where they studied from 2000 to 2005.
