Giovanni Hobbins

Giovanni Hobbins is an Advisor at Powerspike. Giovanni was previously the Chief Product Officer at Matcha from October 2018 to February 2021. While at Matcha, they built the product team, set strategy, and drove the roadmap at Matcha as they built the first all-in-one blogging platform for Ecommerce. Matcha was acquired by Springbot in November 2020.

Prior to joining Matcha, Giovanni was a Product Designer at FullStory from June 2016 to September 2018. Giovanni joined FullStory as employee 25 and left the company when it had over 100 employees. At FullStory, they helped build an incredible product with a world-class team.

Before FullStory, Giovanni was the Co-founder & Director of Product at Campus Bubble LLC from June 2013 to June 2016. Giovanni was responsible for all aspects of the product strategy, design, and branding at Campus Bubble. Giovanni executed the product design process that involves user research, prototyping, usability testing, mockup design, and specs writing. Giovanni also managed a front-end developer and QA tester to build, test, and ship the product front-end for a cross-platform student engagement app. Campus Bubble was acquired in 2016.

Prior to Campus Bubble, Giovanni was the Founder & Creative Director at Nightly Labs from September 2009 to June 2016.

Giovanni Hobbins received a BA in philosophy and comparative literature from Emory University.
