Paul Carter

Paul Carter's work experience includes roles in various companies and positions. Paul is currently the Director of Software Development at Power TakeOff since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Waterloo Hydrogeologic from 2016 to 2021, where they held the positions of Manager of Software Development & Support and Manager of Software Development. At Waterloo Hydrogeologic, they managed teams and was responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software, as well as the management and configuration of IT infrastructure.

Before joining Waterloo Hydrogeologic, Paul worked at RDM Corporation from 2012 to 2016, where they were the Manager of Software Development. Paul managed teams of developers and was involved in delivering web-based SaaS and mobile solutions for the financial industry.

During their tenure at BrandAlliance from 2004 to 2012, Paul held the positions of Manager of Software Development and Software Developer. Paul transitioned from a developer to a development manager and managed software solutions, including fulfillment systems and secure information transfers.

Prior to that, Paul worked at DSPfactory as a Member of Technical Staff in the Software Tools Group from 2003 to 2004. Paul designed and implemented automated build systems and software packaging and distribution systems.

Paul also worked at IBM Global Services as a Software Developer from 2000 to 2001, where they maintained and developed software for the securities industry.

Their earliest work experience was at the Department of National Defense as a Flight Instructor from 1998 to 1999, where they taught aerodynamics, meteorology, air law, and aircraft handling.

Paul Carter attended Wilfrid Laurier University from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained an Hon B.Sc. degree in Computers and Computer Electronics.
