Dr. Jorge Hollman

Dr. Jorge Hollman has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Dr. Jorge began their career in 1995 as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger, where they were responsible for repair and maintenance operations. Dr. Jorge later became an HS&E Officer for Anadrill Argentina. In 1998, they joined the University of British Columbia as a Research Assistant and eventually became the Project Manager for the I2Sim project. In 2007, they joined BC Hydro as a Specialist Engineer, focusing on analytical studies. In 2008, they started their own consulting business, PATAGONIA Consulting, where they served as the Owner until 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer at the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2010. Currently, Dr. Hollman holds the position of Principal Engineer & Senior Manager - Substations Engineering Studies at Powertech Labs Inc., where they have been working since 2018. Dr. Jorge also served as the Senior Manager of the High Current Laboratory from 2021 to 2023.

Dr. Jorge Hollman received their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering at the same institution from 1998 to 2000. Dr. Jorge obtained their undergraduate degree, an Ingeniero Industrial in Electrical Engineering, from Universidad Nacional del Comahue during the period of 1989 to 1996. There is no available information regarding their schooling before university. Additionally, they hold the certification of PEng from APEGBC, but the year of obtaining it is unknown.
