Jeff Bloemink

Jeff Bloemink has a diverse work experience in the power systems industry. Jeff worked as a Team Lead - Engineering Applications at Powertech Labs Inc., where they were involved in various consulting projects and the development of power system stability simulation tools. Prior to that, Jeff held the position of Specialist Engineer and Senior Engineer in Power Systems at Powertech Labs Inc. Jeff also worked as an Electrical Engineering Faculty at BCIT from 2014 to 2021. Additionally, Jeff served as an Associate Professor at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2020 and as an Adjunct Professor in 2021. Jeff was a Consultant at Neptune Wave Power LLC from 2018 to 2019 and an Engineer in the software technologies group at Powertech from 2012 to 2014. Before that, they were a Research Assistant and PhD Candidate at Imperial College London and a Visiting Researcher at KU Leuven and VIB. Jeff also worked briefly as a Consultant at PPA Energy and as an R&D Engineer at ABB Switzerland Ltd.

Jeff Bloemink has a strong educational background in electrical engineering. Jeff earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a MASc degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2005 to 2007. Their undergraduate studies were also conducted at the University of Toronto, where they received a BASc degree in Electrical Engineering from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Jeff has obtained certifications including Senior Member from IEEE in 2020 and Professional Engineer from Engineers and Geoscientists BC in 2015.
