Kato Kibuka

Kato Sekubunga Kibuka is an accomplished leader in the clean-tech and energy sectors, currently serving as the CEO and Co-Founder of PowerUP since August 2021, where the focus is on developing high-impact solutions to reduce carbon emissions. Prior to this role, Kato held significant positions at ENGIE Energy Access (Africa) as Head of Product and Global Product Portfolio Manager, managing solar home system products from February 2018 to August 2021. Kato also co-founded and managed Power On Limited, a solar home system importer and distributor, from June 2016 to February 2018. Earlier experience includes program management at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, global product management in trading FinTech at Investment Technology Group, and research analysis at Pan African Capital Group. Kato holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University.
