Corey DeRico is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in fire safety and quality control management. Currently serving as the Director of Quality Control and Facilities Management at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh since July 2018, Corey oversees operational procedures and policies while supervising quality control and inspection teams. Previously, Corey held the position of Fire Inspection and Demolition Supervisor for the City of Pittsburgh, where responsibilities included regulating life safety inspections and developing fire prevention programs. Before that, Corey worked as a Fire Chief at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, managing fire protection and emergency medical services. Corey's career also includes roles as a firefighter in both the Pine Bluff Arsenal Fire Department and the City of Pine Bluff Arkansas, as well as in the United States Air Force. Corey holds a Master of Public Administration from The University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fire Services Administration from The University of Memphis, complemented by associate degrees in General Studies and Fire Science from Southeast Arkansas College.
