Additionally, Derek has been the Senior Community Engagement Director at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh since 2018, having previously held roles there as Community Engagement Manager and Volunteer Coordinator from August 2009 to June 2018. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace, Conflict, and Communication from Juniata College, obtained in 2008, and has an educational background from North Allegheny High School from 2002 to 2004.
