Heather Ellis

Heather Ellis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in regulatory aspects of clinical trials and healthcare management. Currently serving as a Principal Country Approval Specialist at PPD since July 2019, Heather has previously held roles including Senior Country Approval Specialist and Country Approval Specialist. Prior experience includes over a decade as an Oncology Research Regulatory Consultant at Levine Cancer Institute, where Heather managed regulatory processes for multi-institution clinical trials, developed research protocols, and led departmental process improvements, earning multiple awards for contributions. Additional experience spans roles related to pre-certification and benefits verification, as well as positions in patient care and supervision in medical settings. Heather holds a B.S. in Psychology and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a B.S. in Biology from Western Carolina University, and is currently pursuing Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
