Abdulrahman Ibrahim

Abdulrahman Ibrahim has a robust background in chemistry with significant experience in both academic and industrial settings. At PPG since June 2017, Abdulrahman has progressed from Research Chemist I to Senior Research Chemist and currently serves as Group Leader in Powder Coatings. Prior to this, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2012 to April 2017, Abdulrahman held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on synthesizing ligands and characterizing cobalt complexes, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for multiple chemistry courses. Earlier experience includes research at the University of Houston, where Abdulrahman synthesized novel ligands and tutored students in chemistry. Abdulrahman holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Houston.
