Visham Appadoo

Visham Appadoo is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in product development and research. Currently serving as Product Development Lead Chemist for Battery Fire Protection at PPG since September 2018, Visham has successfully established a lab, developed intumescent coatings, and led customer validation efforts. Previously, as a Research Chemist, Visham contributed to multiple projects in waterborne coatings research, advancing innovations that resulted in patent filings and government funding. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science from Vassar College. Visham's early career involved research and teaching roles, including work on microfluidic devices and polymer research, showcasing a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical chemistry.
