Jo Alder has a strong background in the hospitality industry, with extensive experience in operations and guest experience management. They began their career in 2005 at Guoman & Thistle hotels, where they served as an Assistant Front Office Manager and later as a Reception Manager. In 2007, they joined Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts and held various roles, including Assistant Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager, and Operations Manager. In 2015, they became the General Manager at Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes/Holmes Hotel London, where they led a multi-million-pound refurbishment and rebrand project. During their time there, they also had a 6-month sabbatical as a Project Manager, setting up Accommodation Services for PPHE UK and managing the TUPE transition of 600 team members.
