Dallas Houchins

Dallas Houchins has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 2018, they worked as a Field Applications Engineer at PPI - Precision Pulley & Idler, where they assisted customers with applications, warranty, and returns. Dallas also served as the primary contact for the PPI Conveyor Design Program. At Precision Food Innovations- PFI, from 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Field Application Engineer, performing installation, repair, and troubleshooting for PFI equipment on-site with customers. Dallas diagnosed failure modes and chronic problems for both PPI components and PFI systems.

Dallas also has experience as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Waukee High School from 2016 to 2021, where they taught and implemented technique training in wrestling and collaborated with the coaching staff to improve student-athlete performance. Dallas was also an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Viking Wrestling Club from 2016 to 2018, where they created, taught, and implemented technique training and managed members during various events.

In 2018, Dallas worked as a Project Engineer Intern at DCI Group Inc., where they developed and maintained project schedules and interacted with stakeholders. Dallas also managed subcontractors and material suppliers assigned to the project. In 2017, they had mechanical engineering internships at Shockwave, LLC and IMEG Corp, where they conducted research, designed drawings, and integrated mechanical system documents.

Additionally, Dallas has experience as a Coach at Excel Wrestling from 2014 to 2016, where they created, taught, and implemented technique training in wrestling and managed members during events. Dallas also worked as a Loan Service Specialist II at Wells Fargo in 2015, handling real estate property tax payments and meeting production and quality standards. In 2014, they were a Franchisee/Owner at College Pro, where they created and marketed a painting company, generated business through marketing and sales techniques, and managed employees.

Dallas Houchins completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2016, Dallas attended Grand View University where they pursued a degree in Applied Mathematics and Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Human Resources. During their education, Dallas also obtained additional certifications, including an Associate certification in CSWA from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre in November 2020, a Professional certification in CSWP from the same institution in January 2020, and a certification in Root Cause Bearing Analysis from the SKF Group in July 2019.
