Allyson Sturgeon's work experience includes being a 2023 LCLD Fellow at Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. Allyson also served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel - Regulatory at PPL Corporation starting in December 2021. Prior to that, they were Managing Senior Counsel - Regulatory and Transactions at LG&E and KU Energy LLC from May 2018 to December 2021. Allyson also served as a Senior Corporate Attorney at LG&E and KU Energy LLC from August 2006 to May 2018. Before joining LG&E and KU Energy LLC, they were a Partner at STOLL KEENON ODGEN PLLC from August 1993 to January 2005.

Allyson Sturgeon holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English/Mass Communications from Bellarmine University from 1984 to 1987. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including membership in the Virginia State Bar, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Kentucky Bar Association, as well as a Registered Corporate Coach certification from WABC. Allyson also holds certifications in General Mediation from The International Center for Dispute Resolution and completed the Utility Finance & Accounting Workshop from the Financial Accounting Institute. In 2004, they received an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
