Kevin U.

Kevin U. has a wealth of experience in the cybersecurity field. Kevin began their career as a C-17 Software Systems Engineer in the United States Air Force from June 2007 to November 2009. Kevin then moved on to GE Energy, where they served as a Smart Grid Cyber Security Engineer from November 2009 to August 2012, focusing on developing and implementing security solutions. Kevin joined Securicon as a Sr. Security Consultant/Engineer from August 2012 to February 2015. Kevin then joined GE Power as an M&D Aero ICS Cybersecurity Engineer from March 2015 to July 2018, where they developed monitoring solutions and improved detection systems. Since 2018, Kevin has been working at Dragos, Inc. as the Principal Field Operations Cybersecurity Engineer, responsible for architecting and implementing network security solutions in complex industrial environments. Recently, in April 2021, Kevin joined PPL Corporation as the Principal OT Cybersecurity Architect.

Kevin U. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Toledo in the years 2003-2007. Kevin further pursued a Masters of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Cincinnati during 2008-2009. Additionally, they hold a certification in CISSP from (ISC)², although the month and year of obtaining it are not specified.
