Maaike van Avezaath

Maaike van Avezaath is a seasoned behavioral scientist with extensive experience in educational support and psychological assessment. Currently serving as a Gedragswetenschapper at PPO Rotterdam since November 2015, Maaike has previously worked as an Onderwijsadviseur and orthopedagoog at OnderwijsAdvies from September 2001 to October 2015, where responsibilities included conducting psychodiagnostic research and providing guidance to teachers and parents. Earlier roles included positions as a schoolbegeleider at OBD Nieuwe Waterweg-Noord and OBD Zuid Holland Zuid, and serving as a researcher for the Psychologisch Pedagogisch Advies Bureau, focusing on psychological evaluations and youth counseling. Maaike holds a degree in Pedagogische wetenschappen with a specialization in learning and developmental disorders from Utrecht University and is also an ECHA specialist in gifted education.
