Spencer Staples has worked in various prominent positions, starting from being a Partner at Allegro Capital Limited in 1997. Spencer was a Senior Analyst at Mizuho from 2000 to 2008. Later, they founded the company EconAlpha in 2008 and worked as its Owner & Research Director. Spencer was appointed as the Chief Investment Officer of PPR Capital Management in 2014. Currently, they are working as a Board Member at Home Preservation Exchange since 2020.

Spencer Staples obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Colby College. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Henley Business School affiliated with Brunel University London. Spencer also completed the Investment Management Program as an alumnus at the London Business School. Spencer Staples holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification obtained from the College for Financial Planning.
