Dr. Kivijarv is Vice President, Research of PQ Media, the leading provider of custom media econometrics and the pioneer of emerging media research, such as word-of-mouth marketing. He joined PQ Media in 2003 with three decades of experience in media management, research, consulting, and academia. He has been the co-author and editor of more than 100 reports on the media ecosystem covering: advertising & marketing, consumer & business usage, consumer spending on media & technology, and business, government & educational spending on media & technology.

Dr. Kivijarv has spoken at more than 60 international media conferences and seminars, as well as almost a dozen webinars. He is a respected source of information on media trends, having been interviewed nearly 500 times by various news and trade sources including PBS’ Nightly Business News, NPR’s Morning Edition, New York Times, Advertising Age, and Broadcasting & Cable.

Before joining PQ Media, Dr. Kivijarv was the director of research & publications at a leading investment bank & equity fund management firm servicing the media industry; a communications specialist with a medical instrument manufacturing firm; a senior consultant at a training & development firm, with his training sessions taking place at media companies; an independent media consultant to 40 firms; and a college professor, teaching 30 different media and communications courses.
