Xanthos Vrachas

Xanthos Vrachas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Xanthos started their career as a Second Lieutenant in the National Guard of Cyprus, serving from 1997 to 1999. Xanthos then worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte from 2003 to 2006. Following that, they joined Merrill Lynch as an Investment Banking Associate from 2007 to 2009. Xanthos then transitioned to Universal Life, where they held the positions of Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from 2009 to 2017. During this time, they played a crucial role in managing the company's investments and financial operations. In 2013, they were elected as a Board Director at the Bank of Cyprus, where they played a pivotal role in resolving the urgent crisis faced by the bank after a depositor bail-in. In 2017, Xanthos became the Chairman and CEO of PQH, a position they currently hold. Xanthos'sleadership has been instrumental in the company's growth and success. Additionally, in 2021, they took on the role of a Board Director at Hellas Direct. Xanthos Vrachas's extensive experience in finance, investment, and leadership positions him as a highly accomplished professional in the industry.

Xanthos Vrachas began their education at Georgetown University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Accounting from 1999 to 2003. Later, Xanthos attended Harvard Business School from 2006 to 2008, earning a Master in Business Administration (MBA). In terms of additional certifications, Xanthos became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) through the Virginia Board of Accountancy in 2005. Xanthos also obtained the FSA Approved Person to Deal and Advise in Securities & Financial Derivatives certification from the Financial Services Authority in 2008, and the PRA Approved Person for Non Executive Director Function certification from the Bank of England in 2014.
