Katie Heskett, CPXP, PMP® has over 25 years of experience in healthcare, beginning in 1994 with their role as a Health Services Management Officer in the United States Air Force. In 2004, they were a GED Course Instructor at Southwestern Illinois College, and in 2005 they were an EMR/EHR Trainer for the Department of Defense at IBM. In 2010, they became an EMR Project Manager/Consultant for Quality Quest for Health of Illinois, a non-profit healthcare collaborative. From 2012-2022, they worked at OSF HealthCare in various roles, including Patient-Centered Care Specialist (Patient Experience Coach), Professional Development Facilitator/Epic EMR Trainer, Organizational Development, Women's Health Practice Supervisor, and Epic EMR Training Manager, Ambulatory. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Practicing Excellence as a Client Success Manager, where they consult with healthcare organizations in the implementation of well-being, patient experience, and leadership effectiveness programs through mobile app micro-learning solutions. Katie also leads the organization's digital badging program.

Katie Heskett, CPXP, PMP® has an extensive education history. Katie obtained a M.S. Ed. in Workforce Education & Development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2004. Katie also holds an AAS in Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management from the Community College of the Air Force and a B.S. Ed. in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University. In 2019, they completed an Introduction to Simulation Facilitation Course at the Jump Trading Simulation & Education Center. Additionally, Katie has obtained several certifications, including an ATDSC Member Spotlight from ATD South Carolina in 2022, a Real Colors Temperament Assessment Certified Facilitator from the National Curriculum & Training Institute in 2019, a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2022, and a Certified Patient Experience Professional from the Patient Experience Institute in 2021.
