Principal Software Engineer, Static Analysis And Machine Learning at Praetorian

Bradford Larsen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in engineering and software development. Bradford currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Praetorian, where they focus on static analysis and machine learning. Prior to joining Praetorian, Bradford worked as a Senior Security Engineer at Trail of Bits for two years.

Before that, they were a Software Developer at Ab Initio Software, where they played a key role in establishing a system for continuous use of static analysis tools and identifying and remediating over 100 memory corruption, undefined behavior, and logic errors in the codebase. Bradford also contributed to porting CPython to z/OS and updated internal patches.

Bradford's previous experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Veracode, a Software Contractor at Evergreen Solar, and an intern in the Performance Algorithms Group at Mercury Computer Systems.

Bradford Larsen has an extensive education history in computer science and philosophy. Bradford obtained their Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tufts University, which spans from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science at the University of New Hampshire from 2008 to 2010. Bradford also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from the University of New Hampshire, earned between 2003 and 2009. Additionally, during the same period from 2003 to 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire.

In terms of additional certifications, Bradford Larsen earned a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from DeepLearning.AI in September 2022.
