Janani Mukundan

Janani Mukundan has worked in various roles related to machine learning and research, starting as a Research Intern at Microsoft in 2009. Afterwards, they worked at IBM TJ Watson Research Center as a Research Intern, then at IBM Research in Austin as a Post-Doctoral Researcher and later as a Research Staff Member. In 2017, they joined State Street Bank's Technology and Research Group as a Vice President and cognitive research staff member. Janani returned to IBM Research in Austin and worked as a Senior Staff Machine Learning Research Scientist and later as a Principal Machine Learning Research Scientist. In 2022, Janani joined Acrisure Capital Management as a Quantitative Research Engineer - ML and later moved to Praetorian in 2023 as a Principal ML Research Scientist.

Janani Mukundan earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University between 2003 and 2006. Janani then went on to receive a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Engineering from Cornell University, a program that took their seven years to complete, from 2007 to 2014.
