Matthew Schneider has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015. Matthew began as an IR&D Honors Scholar at Applied Research Laboratories, The University of Texas at Austin. Matthew then moved on to become the Sierra Ride Director at Texas 4000 for Cancer, where they were responsible for planning a charity bicycle ride and managing a team of students. In 2017, they worked as a Bill Archer Fellow at the Federal Communications Commission. Since 2018, Matthew has been working at Praetorian, initially as a Security Engineer, conducting various threat emulation exercises and penetration tests. Matthew then advanced to the role of Senior Security Engineer and ultimately became the Lead Security Engineer in September 2021.
Matthew Schneider completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Government from The University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2016. Before that, they attended Texas A&M University from 2011 to 2012, but did not complete a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering. Prior to their college education, Matthew received their High School Degree with Magnet Endorsement from the Liberal Arts and Science Academy High School. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including eCPTX - Red Team Penetration Testing from eLearnSecurity in April 2020, Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in July 2018, and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020.
