Mark Mellblom has held a variety of roles in the IT industry since 1985. Mark began their career as a Supply Corps Officer in the US Navy from 1985 to 1997. After leaving the Navy, they held the role of Technology Manager at the Chrysler Museum of Art from 1997 to 2003. During this time, they wrote and presented a network funding proposal to local business leaders, established a Network Admin position, and designed and implemented the expansion and migration of Microsoft Windows NT 4. From 2003 to 2004, they were an Enterprise Architect at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, where they developed C4ISR DoDAF compliant Operational and System products to support analysis, modeling and experimentation, and authored an Integrated Architecture Report. From 2004 to 2008, they were an Enterprise Architect at SYSTechnologies, where they developed the Department of Navy Human Resource Management Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) Segment Architecture. From 2008 to 2010, they were the Chief Methodologist at Pragmatica Innovations, where they developed a DoDAF 2.0 Joint Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (JSEAD) architecture for Joint Chiefs assessment of system acquisition programs. From 2010 to 2011, they were the SOA Repository Governance Architect at Lockheed Martin, where they defined taxonomy and scalar decomposition of artifacts to define service Direction, Investment, Resourcing and Transaction in support of Portfolio Management. From 2012 to present, they have been the Senior Enterprise Architect at ECS Federal, Inc., where they identified audit and control structures for the Navy Enterprise Resource Program (ERP). In 2011, they established Mark Mellblom LLC, where they provide innovative methods for enterprise information modeling.
Mark Mellblom obtained a BA in Anthropology / Linguistics from the University of Wyoming in 1979. Mark then attended Glendale Community College, where they earned 30hrs in Pre-Engineering between 1981 and 1983. In 1993, they went on to receive an MBA in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University, which they completed in 1996. Mark also holds a certification from Microsoft for MCSE Windows NT.
