Kody Pounds

Kody Pounds, P.E. has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering field. Kody is currently serving as the Director of Operations at Prairie Land Electric Cooperative, Inc. since August 2023. Prior to this role, Kody worked at Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, where they started as an Engineering Intern at Crustbuster Speed King, Inc. in January 2011, and later became an Electrical Engineer at Pepco Holdings, Inc. starting from December 2011. At Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, Kody held multiple roles, including Distribution Engineering Supervisor from 2020 to 2023 and Planning and Distribution Engineer II from 2013 to 2020. In these positions, they were responsible for tasks such as preparing specifications, performing engineering analysis, designing electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Kody Pounds, P.E. received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kansas State University in 2011. In 2012, Kody obtained the certification of Engineering Intern from the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers. In 2015, Kody became a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers, and in 2016, Kody obtained the Professional Engineer designation from the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions.
