David Oates has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. David most recently worked as the Managing Director at PRAMAC, where they were responsible for the leadership of two separate UK companies and successfully merged them into a single entity. Prior to that, they served as the Country Manager/Director at Berendsen UK, overseeing the sales and operational direction of the UK Hospitality business. Before that, they worked as the Divisional Director & Vice President at Finning (UK), where they handled the strategic, operational, and commercial aspects of the Power Systems business portfolio. David also held positions at Honeywell, Albion Automotive, ERF Trucks Ltd, and Pioneer Group of Companies, gaining experience in sales, account management, and operational management.

David Oates completed their education in a chronological order. Starting in 1985, they attended Glasgow Caledonian University and graduated in 1989 with a BA Hons in Business Studies. After that, from 1999 to 2002, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Central Lancashire. Finally, in 2012, David attended The Wharton School for a short period, where they focused on Global Strategic Business Development, specifically in the field of Strategy & Execution.
