Edward Boyle

Founder and Director at Prana Thoracic

Edward Boyle has had a diverse and successful career in the medical field. Edward founded Inovia Vein Specialty Centers in 2006 and served as the Founder and Director. In 2007, they founded ClearFlow, Inc. and assumed the role of Founder and Chairman. In 2012, they founded Precision Thoracic, where they served as the Founder and Director. At Precision Thoracic, they developed minimally invasive lung tissue excision technology, which later spun off and became Prana Thoracic in August 2022 with the collaboration of Johnson and Johnson's Center for Device Innovation. In 2017, Edward founded Enhanced Recovery After Cardiac Surgery. Edward also founded MDI Partners in 2004 and served as the Founder and Director until 2018. Prior to these ventures, they worked as a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon at St. Charles Health System from 2001 to 2011. Edward's career began in 1995 when they founded Elixis and served as the Founder and Director until 2000.

Edward Boyle completed their medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in an undisclosed year. Following this, they pursued a variety of educational experiences at the University of Washington. From 1992 to 1999, they completed a General Surgery Residency, specializing in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. Additionally, they participated in a Vascular Biology Research Fellowship from 1995 to 1998.
