Richard Dowdy

Richard Dowdy is an accomplished legal and governmental relations professional with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Government Relations at Pratt Industries since September 2019, Richard previously worked as an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP from September 2017 to September 2019. Prior experience includes a range of roles in the Parliament of Australia from February 2009 to July 2016, including Chief of Staff for The Hon Tony Abbott MP and Senior Adviser in the Office of the Prime Minister of Australia, as well as positions as Adviser to the Leader of the Opposition and Research Assistant for The Hon Peter Costello MP. Richard holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law and a degree from the University of Canberra.
