Assistant Dean, School Of Art at Pratt Institute-Main

Marcus Civin serves as the Assistant Dean for the School of Art at Pratt Institute since January 2021. Prior to this role, Marcus Civin was a Professor and Chair of Art at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas from July 2018 to December 2020, and held the position of Associate Dean for Curriculum and Assessment in Graduate Studies at the Maryland Institute College of Art from July 2015 to June 2018. Marcus Civin began at the Maryland Institute College of Art as Faculty from 2011 to 2015 and also served as Adjunct Faculty at Towson University and UC Irvine during the same period. A freelance Preparator and Exhibitions Technician from 2004 to 2011, Marcus Civin collaborated with notable institutions including Blum and Poe and The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles. Additionally, Marcus Civin co-founded New Urban Arts and directed programs there from 1997 to 2000. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from UC Irvine and a Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts from Brown University.
