Poyao Shih

Poyao Shih is a highly experienced architect and educator, currently serving as the Founder of Position Studio since April 2023, alongside roles as Faculty Researcher and Program Coordinator at the Pratt Institute Center for Climate Adaptation, and Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute. Prior experience includes Design Project Lead and Architectural Design Coordinator at Quarra Stone Company, Architect II at WORKac, and Intern Architect at Morphosis. Poyao Shih has also contributed as a Research Assistant at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Designer at Griffin Enright Architects, Lab Manager for the SCI-Arc Shanghai Program, and Teaching Assistant at SCI-Arc. Academic credentials include a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from SCI-Arc.
