Derek Moore

Derek Moore is a Simulation and Application Support Engineer II at Pratt Miller since November 2020 and concurrently serves as a Race Engineer for Powerslide Motorsports, an iRacing team focused on competitive racing in IndyCars and SportsCars. Previous experience includes roles as a Freelance Race Engineer for Thunder Bunny Racing, developer of custom Excel spreadsheets, Undergraduate Research Assistant at Clemson University, and various positions with Clemson Formula SAE, where Derek led design efforts and team management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Science with an emphasis on Applied and Computational Mathematics from Clemson University, complemented by multiple internships at Tesla focusing on design and automation solutions.
