Frédéric Brousseau

VP, Canadian & International Manufacturing at Pratt & Whitney Canada

Frédéric Brousseau was appointed Vice President, Canadian and International Manufacturing at Pratt & Whitney Canada in April, 2021. In this role, Mr. Brousseau oversees the company’s worldwide manufacturing operations, encompassing 12 sites across Canada, Poland and China. He is responsible for the development and deployment of Pratt & Whitney Canada’s strategic manufacturing projects with a focus on ensuring the manufacturing competitive excellence of their sites.

Mr. Brousseau plays a leadership role with the company in the areas of employee health and safety, environmentally sustainable manufacturing philosophies and practices, and the development of talent in various multi-cultural and cross-disciplinary settings.

Mr. Brousseau began his career with Pratt & Whitney Canada in 1997 and advanced through a variety of operational roles, including an international assignment in People’s Republic of China managing their local manufacturing operations and various sourcing project initiatives.

More recently, as General Manager of the company’s Mirabel Aerospace Centre, he guided the opening of the facility and its state-of-the-art production line for the Pratt & Whitney engines which power the Airbus A220 (formerly the Bombardier C220) commercial jet liner. Prior to his current position, Mr. Brousseau was the Executive Director of Global Operations and Strategy.

He holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Major in Aeronautical, from the Université de Sherbrooke, and a Masters in Business Administration from HEC Montreal (Quebec, Canada). He has also graduated from the Executive Program at INSEAD (Singapore) and the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business (Charlottesville, Virginia, USA).
